Gender Dimension

Gender dimension and gender balance are becoming increasingly important issues due to their integration into corporate sustainability management and in the application for and implementation of research projects (e.g. EU Horizon). The aim is to achieve equal participation of men and women in teams, including in STEM disciplines and in leadership positions. Within the framework of Horizon Europe, a balanced gender ratio among researchers is a ranking criterion for applications with equal evaluation results. In addition, the inclusion of the gender dimension is now a mandatory requirement for all research and innovation projects under Horizon Europe, unless explicitly stated otherwise in a topic.

The gender dimension implies the analysis and consideration of possible differences between men and women (biological characteristics as well as social and cultural characteristics), boys and girls, or men and women in the research and development work of the project. ABCircular analyses the gender dimensions of the EU CLASCO project. This includes this topic in connection with the composition of the project teams and the companies involved, as well as all relevant aspects of technological developments.
